Afternoon: I have a rather agressive site planned and was wondering about adding the functionaility I need to your program for a total solution. Here's a general concept: 1) aMember for the front end to control subscription issues 2) Mambo to handle CMS 3) Since I understand phpbb would require a second log-on (bummer) I guess I'll use Invision (one login - right?) for the forum, 4) I would also like to offer a member's classified section (e.g. Noah's or Photopost), products section with customer reviews (e.g. 5 Star Review) and an RSS feed. So I have the following questions: 1) Will integration of mambo and invision require additional programming or customization? 2) Are there any data integrity, security or user interface issues I should be concerned with? 3) Is it possible to integrate the additional functionality I listed above (4.)? Suggestions on who might be able to do the necessary programming for me. 4) Recommendations for hosting? Thanks for whatever input you can provide.
1) No programming required. 2) Integration is NOT FULL. aMember only sometimes makes necessary changes to Mambo users database. There are clear advantages (no code changes required to Mambo) and disadvantages. For example, by default member is able to change password in mambo profile, and this change will not affect the user profile in aMember. 3) Yes. 4) You can place everything into your members are and protect it by aMember.
