Hi, I am trying to add the aMember login block to my Moodle installation. I have installed the block without any errors via my Site Admin page, but when I turn editing on within my Front Page I get the following message:

The block amember_login does not define the standard capability block/amember_login:addinstance

Then when I try to add the block to the page I get a further message:

Error outout, so disabling automatic redirect

Has anybody out there been able to add the aMember login block to their Moodle installation OK?

Any help and advise would be much appreciated. Thanks

    Julie

Hello - Yes, I have had no problem in getting the amember login block to my moodle site.
Using 2.5 although I have been told people are using amember successfully with 2.6

sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Hi Sarah, thanks for your reply. Yes, I've seen post saying the same too and CGI assure me that it has been tested with v2.6. I hope they pick this up and can offer a solution as soon as possible.

Hi, I now have the login block working with the help from CGI-Central Support but when I log my aMember user in using this block nothing happens. It seems as if aMember and Moodle are not communicating.

I have also tested logging in an existing moodle lms user from within the members area of my site and it says user does not exist - from my understanding if an existing user logs into the members area, aMember will recognise this and allow them in so they can purchase subscriptions. Am I wrong in thinking this?

    Cheers, Julie
