I am thinking of a future customisation that allows me to send an individual text message. A member record is located on the membership directory. Their profile is displayed and has a contact number completed. Is there a way to add a Send Text Message button that brings up a small free text box for 130 characters and a way to send a message to that member's number. If so this would be a really handy feature.
OK, Judging by the overwhelming responses, (joking), I guess the answer is likely to be no or not easily. I need a gateway and having looked about its going to be more hassle than its worth. However what about instead of sending a text or sms message, how about sending an e-mail or at least taking the "contact email" address and having a button that opens up the e-mail client and puts the contact address in there? or even like the sms idea, does all the e-mail mechanics hidden and you just enter text in to a small text box and send? I guess its a bit like a mini form.
