I have a wp + amember + vB and the only reasson i create an account in wp is so that users can also comment in the articles for example and be part of the community with their name stamp, however the creation of so many users in WP makes an overload on the database and I am not sure wp is capable of handeling 1500 users, and much more in the future so it's slower. Is there a way to login users/authenticate for commenting without them having to have an account in WP but have it in amember say or VB.
I have not tried, but I see no reasons why WP could not handle 50000 customers and more. Is it really a problem?
it will be more compact if you don't really need the users and try this hack so you wont get into more problems later especially with large amount of users on 3 databases.
