Hi, it's the weekend and so I'm here... got a bit of a problem, new install, latest version, I'm importing users from my vbulletin into amember ready for it's first run... everything ok thus far everywhere else, I've already imported all my users via a csv file and it all worked... then I noticed I had added a subscription at the start of the import as afterwards I couldn't find a way to add one of my products/subscriptions to an imported member... so I deleted the imported members and started again... deleting took hours... so back to square one ready to import, this time with a subscription added, everything else worked, vbulletin MD5, salt user-fields all ok... then I had to add a subscription before import which matched my forum and I had as a product which was all ok... it imports, but then times out with a login screen then when I log in and refresh I get an error Fatal error: Call to a member function setOffset() on a non-object in /home/mysite/public_html/members/application/default/controllers/AdminImportController.php on line 1227 Imports for about 5- 10 mins (I have 47K users to import) and it times out, done that twice now This was after adding my product/subscription which matches my forums... Ok while typing I'm trying various ways to import and I can't if I add a subscription, I can import if I don't add a sub from the start... but how do I add a sub after import to all users to my free sections? I'm stuck.... after some time making sure everything I was doing was ready I eventually closed my site off to do this import and I'm a bit stuck... so my task is this, I have 47K users to import, I'm gonna simply add them all to my free forum sub/product then after import manually add my paid members and my senior members (I have products for that etc) and then rebuild my database etc then move on... so I don't think this error is going to go away soon so I need to know how to mass-sub imported users to one of my products... it just wasn't available to me before upon editing an individual member record, should of been, anyway, please advise.
might be a broken record, I dunno... they all imported before... I'm just trying and trying again and if i 'skip' already imported members then it times-out right away and I see the login screen then the error upon refresh... so I dunno, I start the import and the sub with no receipt (numeric or text?) no payment 0.0 or 'none' both do the same error and the start/end dates should be no problem, so I dunno... I could import again with the subs at the start but I'm not waiting another 5 hours for my user-database to be deleted as I don't know how to add a sub to my imported users... damned if I do damned if I don't... anyways I'll keep trying
ok i'm gonna skip adding a subscription upon import... gonna use 'mass subscribe' and do a normal import which worked but I hope I can do all my 47K users after import, thanks
Sorry to keep posting, edit doesn't show my post in the pop-up box... anyhew... just gonna delete all my imports and start again, 8K records imported before the stall, it's gonna takes hours to delete... should be faster... 'running delete 0 records processed' always shows 0 btw, took 5-6 hours to remove my 47K imports, now I can see how to add a sub/product to a users record and I see the mass-sub, please go make it for all users... anyway I'll let you know how long deleting these 8K users takes
just to add last one, I don't mean to knock aMember btw as it's brilliant... what I have seen so far, really looking forward to getting it all up & running, thanks I'll report back with my successes or failures.
delete was fast/ok... gonna re-import without any pre-subscriptions and hopefully I can do it all later
nope didn't work, exactly the same spot/error... didn't add a subscription this time, so my first import (which worked) thinking I couldn't add subs/products remove the users to have this problem... now I don't know if I should rebuild the database now to clear things out, but what-ever I did on the virgin install was ok... but my import/delete situation is now stopping me from going on, I'll try and work out if I can clear out the users, it's the same csv file, the same settings as I did for my first working import, there's something now in my aMember user-database which is corrupted or whatever... I don't really want to rebuild my database yet as my users are not sync'd up right yet... anyways I'll see if I can do anything, if I could go back to that virgin import I would.
yeah I could import once, always an error now Fatal error: Call to a member function setOffset() on a non-object in /home/mysite/public_html/members/application/default/controllers/AdminImportController.php on line 1227 imports for a few seconds then the login screen then the error, deleting all users (imports around 7-8K before crash) takes 25mins, now the first time was fine, since then whatever I did to delete all records and start over has put me here, so I don't know whether to gamble on another 25mins of delete time just to re-import & crash or rebuild my database or what... as I say same csv file as the first good import since then... I dunno, please advise
ok i'm gonna delete my users again.... I noticed my vBulletin isn't exporting all users now... might be because its checking with aMember also... anyway delete all users, then rebuild database (I didn't use the button before as I thought it would just go ahead and do it) but I'll rebuild aMember then check its all clean, then re-do my export from vBulletin, then import again... hopefully, will let you know
nope, imported 7890 records then died... gonna be the same again, dunno what to do... also my export from vBulletin is smaller, starts with a 'banned' group in vbulletin it seems, missing some other groups, so I'm stuffed now.... ahh I see looking at my vBulletin usergroups its already tampered with them... must be that, I have to now restore a vB database from yesterday I think... only way I know of getting this done, note to self... mas-subscribe works, no need to delete users, your vB groups will be altered... damn it, ok got it now I think
you can close/delete this thread if you like... it was just a corrupt csv file, badly exported, didn't spot it and caused me some hours of unrest it did... so I've managed to sort everything and with a little luck I hope to have this chugging away... seems all good, bloody good system, should of had this years ago... but all my ccbill and vbulletin stuff seems all very good and it updates well and user-groups show the galleries to the right people and yeah, brilliant... dunno if sign-ups will work, they should... I'll be back to continue my ramblings of a madman... thanks
