We had a developer help us with our install and integration with phpbb, but I am no longer able to reach him. I would like to upgrade to the latest aMember release, but I have no idea whether it will remove some of the formatting and integration that has already been completed for our site. We have both a Wordpress and phpbb integration with a couple custom formatted things, such as colors on the login form. I don't think there is anything overly complicated. I just don't understand enough about this to do it on my own.
