I've been told that it's impossible to use Amember with 1shoppingcart. All I'm looking to do is user Amember *uniquely* for it's member management features. I'm currently setup to use 1shoppingcart with WorldPay Junior Invisible. Has anobody had success with this combination with Amember? I've modified the 1shoppingcart system to "move along" username and pass info all the way to Worldpay, is there not a way to callback to Amember? I really like Amember and I know that using it only for the simplest of features is a bit silly, but at the moment I can't see how else I'm going to operate my members only website (www.yogayak.com) Love and light, Michel
Michel, we would be happy to integrate 1stshoppingcart with aMember, but please understand - IT IS NOT A PAYMENT PROCESSOR!! AND IT DOES NOT OFFER ANY INTEGRATION ABILITIES!
I'm not sure I understand the reply. 1shopping or Amember is not a payment processor? Both interface with my gateway, but I need only let 1shopping do that at the moment. So, how do I setup Amember to function only as the center for members usernames and password management? Thanks for the quick reply, Love and light
"center for members usernames and password management" How should it work? I hope it is possible to implement.
I think what lucidtv means is that Amember should control all membership management and use it as a standalone application, but is not explaining why the shopping cart is involved? A shopping cart will have its own payment processing for purchasing say products through worldpay. Do you want members only to make purchases through your shopping cart, or do you want anyone to be able to make purchases? Do you want Amember to accept payments through worldpay for membership only? You cannot have the shopping cart accepting payments for purchasing products and taking the payment through Amember with WorldPay. Amember is not a shopping cart payment processor, it is a membership control and subscription payment system. Although they could both use WorldPay it would be for entirely different reasons. If you want Amember to restrict membership only to use a shopping cart then fine. If you want to just collect memberships through people giving a password and username in using the shopping cart, then that is something you can ask Alex if it can be done. Hope this helps? Amember user
One last thing. Why not used Amember alone and skip the shopping cart some may ask. At the moment we believe that the shopping cart responds to some specific needs we have that would not be fulfilled by Amember alone.
There are some requirements in aMember Pro processing that cannot be avoided: - customer must start signup process on aMember signup page; - then pending user account will be created and user will be redirected to payment processor; - once payment is processed, payment processor will let aMember know, and user account will be marked as paid or active; There are no ways to implement this flow with 1stshoppingcart, so ANY integration is impossible.
Thanks Alex. In the end I think I'm going to scrap all use of 1shoppingcart. I really like using Amember and have found in testing that even if 1shopping has more bells and whistles that Amember has more "bells" that I will actually use. One question, I'll be using Amember with WorldPay, will Amember: 1) credit affiliates for recurring sales on a monthly basis? 2) delete usernames and passwords from my htaccess when a members cancels his membership These are the last 2 hurdles for me to clear up before fully removing 1shoppingcart from my system.
1) Yes (for most payment processors) 2) Yes. However, user will be deleted when PAID PERIOD EXPIRES, not when user cancelled payment.

Word Pay Hi, The first thing you will need is word processor software. Most authors that sell their e-books online use Microsoft word and a PDF converter. You will use Microsoft word to write your e-book. You can get more information from www(dot)merchantacquiring(dot)co(dot)uk.
