We have been using aMember for 3 years now. Every facet of it has been great - except we are falling behind now and 50%+ of our tech support time goes into existing customers trying to renew.

Will aMember ever support Verisign's Recurring Billing with Payflow Link? I hate to start shopping for new membership software, but without Recurring Billing, our growing subscription base is getting harder and harder to manage.

    Regards,

Unfortunately, there is no technical ability to implement it with current version of aMember. However, it supports recurring billing with PayFlow Pro and it works without any problems.

Unfortunately, there is no integration abilities for PayFlow Link Recurring.

And PayFlow Pro recurring is also cannot be integrated because of aMember Pro restrictions.

Could you please elaborate on what the amember pro restrictions are that prevent payflow pro recurring from being integrated?

There are technical restrictions that does not allow to implement way of integration allowed by PayFlow Pro recurring. It is too different from all other payment processors.

    Payflow pro recurring billing

After reading this, I'm fairly disappointed. I thought payflow pro was my solution. Is there any way I can support recurring payments without storing cc data on my server, without sacrificing coupon functionality, and while amember is automatically notified of failures and cancellations?

    Thanks,

    Mark

    confused on the payflow pro.

I am totally confused. I have payflow pro with the recurring billing addon. It was verisign and now it is owned by paypal.

I want to be able to automate my charges to my subscribers every month.

one post says it will work without any problems and the other post says that it will not due to restrictions.

I think there is a lot of people with this program.

Alex could you please elaborate on this in detail?

    Payflow pro

Sorry for such a newbie question but just need some clarification.

Here is the payflow information directly from their website.

payflow pro - Our fully customizable service lets your customers complete transactions on your website more securely.

Payflow link-Our basic, quick set-up service lets your customers securely complete transactions on customizable pages hosted by PayPal.
Does this mean just the payflow link will not do recurring billing?

For amember is their a problem with payflow pro or payflow link? or both?

Does the problem with integration mean that when a subscriber signs up for a product that is recurring billing payflow will process the bill automatically but amember does not receive any details.

So in a nutshell you can not manage your members correctly with amember?

I am about to purchase amember but this whole payment processing this is confusing.

This might make a good sticky because i see a ton or questions and a lot of people getting confused.

Thanks in advance for your help

Did this confusion get cleared up? Still searching the forums myself to understand if PayFlow Pro/Link is integrated with amember if it can support recurring billing. Agreed, this would be a good sticky.
