I purchaced aMember Pro for a client site. I had installed the free version to ensure it was what I wanted but when I uninstalled it and installed the Pro version I did something wrong and could not get it to work. I was pecking through files, checking permissions, checking upload types when I remembered seeing something about a free install. I emailed Alex at 4am my time to request a free install and had it by 10 pm complete with working .htaccess protection in my three directories. Customization? Holy cow...follow the steps here http://cgi-central.net/amemberdocs/help/custom.htm for tweaking your header and footer files and it's a breeze. First try and it fits in with the rest of the site 100%. I'm really pleased. What I thought was going to be the hardest part of this project has become the easiest. Highly recommended and worth the money. I'd buy it again if I had another site that needed it.
