I am trying to setup aMember to do secure recurring payments through authorize.net. The requirements are relatively simple: - Credit card info must be stored in authorize.net - The recurring payments need to be changeable once people have signed up. So there could be a $15/mo subscription that many people purchased, and then an administrator will need to be able to increase these subscriptions to $20/mo. Is this possible using any of the existing plugins? Thanks for your help in advance.
OK first things first. The way the plugin for Authorize.net works is cards are stored in Amember on YOUR server if you wish to use recurring billing, not with Authorize. See http://www.amember.com/paysystems.php for how different gateways handle (or not handle) recurring payments and where credit card data is stored Secondly under what circumstance is the administrator to change the recurring payments? Is it something automatic such as after month #1 etc?
In order for you to manually change a customers rate using aMember, I think you need to use a paysystem where aMember stores the data and initiates the charges. Example: Normal authorize.net setup, the CC info is stored in your database and aMember handles the recurring charges. If you adjust a members rate, aMember will start billing the new rate. Normal PayPal setup, the CC information is stored at PayPal and they handle the recurring charges, simply notifying your aMember of what has taken place. Therefore, you can't adjust the rates for those who pay with PayPal because you don't control the recurring billing. I love it when members pay using authorize.net so I can adjust their membership when asked, or give them "1 free week" and change their recurring dates without any hassle. -Scott
Scott I added Authorize last night. How do I know for sure recurring billing is working. It does not seem to be. Also my coupons dont' work properly any ideas?
I'm struggling with Authorize.AIM as well. I've gotten as far as having the user enter their CC-info. However, I get a blank screen once I click SUBSCRIBE. I'm also not seeing an entry in the db for the test CC-info I've been using. Does aMember create a new table or am I missing something.
