People paid, but continue to have a Pending Invoice

This just started yesterday. A few (very very few), but not all, invoices remain pending after payment is made.

I have not determined what the common factor is yet. I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem?

Also, I do not know how to force the invoice to become finalized so that user can have access.

would help if u said what payment, as in pay pal, stripe, etc
