Hi all, I'm following these steps to move across to version 5 https://www.amember.com/docs/Migration_from_legacy_aMember_Pro_v3

I've created a test conversion and have no problems. My question regards the section under
'Final upgrade to version 5 from version 3' where it says to rename version 3 folder then reinstall version 5 to a folder of the same name as 3 was installed originally. Wouldn't it be just as easy to rename the test conversion folder and use these instructions instead https://www.amember.com/docs/Move_aMember_to_different_folder ? Seems like there are less steps and would only take a minute or so. Is there any advantage to installing again verses moving it to a different folder?

    Hope that made sense,

    Cheers!

Yes, you can move your existing installation instead of install it again. I do not see any advantage/disadvantage.

I assume you do not have new signups in v3 after import data to version 5.
