We have a product we're selling for $995 / year with autorenew. Pretty straightforward in aMember.

We want to offer an installment plan as well: we'll offer three consecutive monthly payments of $397. The subscriber pays a bit more but gets the convenience of spreading out his/her payments. Straightforward again in aMember.

The question becomes how to set up recurring payments after the last installment. Our plan is to then put the subscriber on a $397 every four months plan after a year has passed (we felt jumping to $995 would create sticker shock). However there's not "third price" in aMember where we can set up this recurring portion.

The screenshot below shows the first plan of $995 / year at the top. It's a very typical billing plan most everyone uses in aMember.

At the bottom is a second plan where I was able to set up the three installment payments but cannot figure out how to then set a rate and recurring billing. Seems to me we need "third price / third period / additional rebill times" options.

Anyone else encountered this? Any suggestions on a workaround?

    Thanks. Capture_2016_01_08_09_49_15_905.jpg

If you want to charge 3x397 the first period is repeated 3 times there is no need to have the same term/rate as two steps.

Thanks. There's no way to set the number of payments on first period. If you look at the section about rebilling you'll see it controls only the second price.

Listed below is the flow of what we're trying to do:
    Billing 1: immediate installment @ $397
    Billing 2: 1 month later installment @ $397
    Billing 3: 1 month after billing 2 installment @ $397
Billing 4: one year after billing 3 @ $397 and continuing every four months thereafter

yah sorry mind fade working on something that has over heated the old brain cells...

One problem, is that the payments processors generally only have an initial and renewal amounts/terms that's why aMember does it the same way. If ... big if ... you only do your own processing of credit cards (like through eWay) it might be possible to add extra steps, if (again) you only do direct card debits it might be worth asking for it to be done as a custom mod by the crew.
