Hello all, I am setting up a Product which offers a 15 Day Free Trial Period at $0, then goes to an annual recurring period at $29.99. Two questions -

    1. How can I prevent users from registering for this product, using 14 days free, canceling, and then re-registering again for the same product, essentially stringing together unlimited free trial periods? Does amember somehow track and/or account for that? If not, can I prevent that, or generate reports to identify offenders?

    2. Does the annual renewal period begin on the day the product is registered - ie the start of the 15 free trial period - or does it begin when the payment is processed?

    Thanks so much!

In your product set "Disallow ordering of this product if user has" set active/expired then they can only have the free trial once, what you would also need to do is setup a non-free trial version of the product so that they can pay for it (as they would be effectively banned from the free trial one).

The free trial is just that, the renewal would be a year added after the trial.

Thank you very much for the response, that makes sense. So if we have ProductA which is a subscription with a 15 day free trial, and ProductB Which is the same product without the free trial, is there a way n the membership page to only present one of those option at a time? So that if someone tries ProductA, cancels before paying, then comes back later, they will on the membership page see only Product B with a message saying "Hey, you've already used your free trial period?"

Also, is there a way to generate a report on how many have registered for ProductA but cancelled out before becoming subscribers?

    Thanks so much!

Go to product settings and 'Product Availability'
Set product 'A' to disallow if - 'has Active subscription to product A' and 'has Expired subscription to product A'

Set product 'B' Allow ordering if - 'has Active subscription to product A' and 'has Expired subscription to product A'

That way only one option will be offered.

Ah, OK, that makes perfect sense.

Finally, on the reporting, is there a mechanism for tracking cancellations on a product?

    Many, many thanks!
