If an affiliate sends a person to a sales page And the person does NOT buy or download a freebie/ at that time.... (ie do some action) Is the affiliate STILL lifetime cookied? Or does a product/freebie have to be bought/downloaded FIRST before the lifetime cookie kicks in? Thanks! I've always thought it was the first (ie, just clicking on the link sets the cookie) but was just asked this by an affiliate.
First option is correct but if after cookies is set user uses affiliate link of other affiliate then recent affiliate will be assigned to user.
