Hi need to setup an area on my website that will work pretty much like http://www.lynda.com/.

This area of the site will be geared towards software support for embroidery software. There will be videos, articles, projects and more. There will be a bunch of free content and "teaser" vidoes that anybody can view without a subscription. We want to allow everbody to see what is available even the stuff you must have a subscription for, but only have links to that content if they have purchased a subscription. There will be two levels of paid subscribers, regular members and premium members. Regular members will be able to view all videos, articles and any other content. Premium members will be able to view all content as well as be able to download various support files and plugins they use with their software.

We currently have an in-house system for processing credit cards, so when someone signs up for membership, we would need to have the credit card info delivered encrypted so we can process it and then grant membership.

Will AMember work for all this?

    Thanks!

As far as the content protection system, yes you can use amember. I would suggest using a content management system like wordpress to handle to content.

As far as the credit card issue- not sure. Depends on which one you are using.
