    Confused about vb3 member list integration

    Hi, I have an existing vbulletin at 3.0.1 and have just had amember installed and am now configuring it.

    I don't understand the following:

    My vbulletin has a member data file. How does all of this existing data get into amember?

    Or am I not understanding correctly.

    Where do people interested in signing up go to FIRST signup? At the vb register page/script or within amember.

    I understand that when they want to pay and upgrade their membership, they must go into amember. But doesn't amember need to know about all members?

    Sorry, but I am not clear on this yet.

    1. You can export members from vBulletin and import them to aMember IF YOU WISH.

    2. aMember doesn't need to know about all members. It is on your choice.
    - You may keep free signup to be handled by vBulletin;
    - Or, you can disable free signup in vBulletin, but create a free (with price = 0) product in aMember, and redirect all new signups to aMember signup form. User will be able to choose between free and paid subscription. I believe it is a better choice.
