If user is inactive for a period of time on vBulletin and vB session expires, then user clicks on a vB link and gets login page for vB instead of being redirected to aMember login page. User is NOT logged out of aMember, even though they are now logged out of vB. Single sign on relationship is broken. I know there's a option in vB to set automatic timeout after x seconds. I'd like to keep that enabled for security. Is there a way for user to be logged out of aMember when vB times out? Or at least when user clicks on a vB link after timeout has occurred--can they be logged out of aMember at that point and redirected to aMember login page?
No unfortunately this can't be done. So you have to increase that timeout period. Or try to change amember CP -> Setup -> Login page -> User session lifetime (minutes) setting as well.
Alex, user session doesn't seem to expire in aMember at all. I set User session lifetime in amember CP to 2 minutes to test. Still, user is not logged out after two minutes. I notice that I am being logged out as admin after inactivity. But not users when I am testing as a user.
Do you use wordpress theme integration(the problem can be in any wordpress plugin that set session handlers)? Do you have any modifications in aMember?
No, I don't use Wordpress and there are no modifications in aMember. Straight-up install with Paypal Pro and vBulletin plugins activated. Also, for timeouts to work properly, which Session Storage setting should I be on?
based on your ticekt in helpdesk, session issue was fixed already. And the problem was in Digital Access Pass installation you had, is this correct. In regards to Session Storage setting. Set it to default value. (database)
Yes, I deleted Digital Access Pass installation which was causing aMember to crash. aMember is no longer crashing, issue solved. Thanks!
