In the features table it states: "Automatically monitor visitors with the same username/password. If the configured limit is reached, the account is disabled instantly." I cannot find any reference to this in the control panel. How is this set up, please?
There are two steps to doing this and a number of options. 1. In Setup/Configuration > Advanced In the "Maximum count of different IP" enter the maximum number of IP addresses that any one user can use in a given period to access content. In the "Count IP for ... hours" enter the number of hours during which this limit applies. Bear in mind that many users will have a different IP each time they login and allow for that. You will know your users and be able to decide what works for yourself. 2. In the User Information there are three options for IP locking on a user by user basis: No (default): means not-locked, user has access as defined above Yes: means locked - user's access is suspended Disable Autolock for this User: User will be able to connect using as many different IP addresses as they wish. If you are using .htpasswd protection, there is another step to make sure all this works, which you will find more about here: http://www.cgi-central.net/amemberdocs/con...anel/access.htm
What happens in the IPB plugin when this limit is reached? Does amember do anything to the IPB group membership? Thanks
No, unfortunately, this locking doesn't affect plugins yet. We're going to fix it in future versions.
