Security Fix 09

Has anyone attempted the manual fix as described here:

It's easy to do --just add a couple of lines to an existing file but before I upload the modified file, I'd just like a little extra assurance that it works and will not cripple my site.

I chose the manual fix option because I don't want to upgrade right now.

After Alexander assured me the patch had been tested, I went ahead and uploaded it. No problems so far. I chose the manual patch because last time I upgraded there were some css changes which unexpectedly changed the appearance of my site and it took some time to track down how to edit them.
