I want to reduce the sale funnel as much as I can. Now the steps are: landing page -> singup form -> paypal direct payment (with ipn set) I would like more for it to be: landing page -> paypal direct payment (with ipn set) -> automatic creation of account, or a user profile editing page If i use the pay now paypal buttons, how I can tell paypal to use the ipn setting for aMember? Or, alternatively, how do I use the cart button without the signup page? There are other ways to accomplish this?
You can use payment system upfront of aMmeber approach http://www.amember.com/docs/How_It_Works#Payment_system_upfront_of_aMember In paypal create button and set this button on yout landing page set IPN url in PayPal to amMeber IPN url (you can find this url in PayPal configuration page in aMember). In aMember in product settings specify id of your button (aMember will find proper product this way) In aMember PayPal configuration page enable option 'Accept Direct Payments' enable 'Sind Signup Email' at aMember CP -> Configuration -> Setup/Configuration -> Email you can use placholder %password% within this template. test it.
