Hi, folks -- we're attempting to process a customer's payment and are having trouble. Our site uses the payflow_pro plugin for processing payments.

We log into our site as the customer, go to his membership area, and click the Add/Renew Subscription tab. We select a product, then are presented with the screen for entering credit card info.

After we type his credit card number and tab out of the credit card number field, aMember pops up a message in red text that says "Please enter a valid credit card number." The message appears immediately.

I think the customer probably hasn't activated his card yet, because it's a new card, and to put it nicely, the customer is in his mid-70s (at least) and sounds confused.

But I'm intrigued by the instant detection of the bad card number, without even clicking "Subscribe and Pay". Does anyone know how the bad card number detection works? It appears to be dynamically bouncing the number against a database -- as you type in the digits it toggles back and forth at various times between indicating a valid number and an invalid number.
