Is there a way to protect content based on url?

I'm using Drupal 7 and I want to protect content based on urls that look like folders where no actual folders exist. Example:

    http://www.sample.com/content-type/page1.html
-- there is no actual folder "content-type" but I want to protect any content that comes after "content-type/"

Is that possible through aMember 4.x?

    Hello Tim,

Do you able to control access to such kind of pages based on user group in Drupal?

    Hi Caesar,

Yes, Drupal has the capability to control access based on user groups but I haven't set that up.

If I have user groups set up is that the best way to control access via aMember Pro?
