    Hi,

I have an amember installation on a domain with wordpress theme integration and vbulletin integration.

Amember is in /amember folder and vbulletin forum is in /forum directories where wordpress is on the root.

Now i need to move amember and vbulletin without wordpress site to a new domain.
Should the forum be in /forum directory . can i take it to root? then where should i place amember?.

Please advice how i can do it, and the problems i might face.

The following plugins are installed on amember:

    1) Subusers
    2) VBulletin integration.

    i am using amember 3.2.4

Please let me know asap. This is very urgent.

    Thanks a lot.

As long as you are not protecting vBulletin from a file/directory standpoint you can place VB in root and aMember in /amember.

Only consideration about moving VB from /forum to / is any existing external links and search engine indexing

To avoid these issues you will need to 301 redirect all of your old links to your new links.

Now if i have vb in root and amember in /amember , i can't be able to protect vb right?

    Thanks.

Where are you intended on putting your sales / signup page if you move VB to the root and protect it from a file/folder perspective?

Just to clarify, your intent is to require a user/password to see ANYTHING within your VB environment?

Why not protect at a user level within VB where users of a certain level can view premium areas?

    Thanks for your reply.

Then i'd better put vbulletin in /forum .

Now can you please let me know if know if there will be licensing, transfer of data or other problems to moving to new domain.

The following plugins are installed on amember:

    1) Subusers
    2) VBulletin integration.

    i am using amember 3.2.4

    Thanks.

If you are going from subdomain to domain there is no issue, only if you parent domain is changing (ie. amember.mydomain.com -> mydomain.com = ok, myamemberdomain.com -> mydomain = need to contact support for an updated license.
