    Hi,

    I want to allow a user to register but not have to select a subscription or enter credit card details initially.

    Is this possible and what change would need to be made?

    Use the "free" option, works right out of the box..

    just create a product in aMember CP with price = 0 and it will work as you wish. (if you have "free" payment plugin enabled - it is default setting)
