I just launched my new product this week and I am having a big problem with abandoned carts. I think that people are getting turned off by all the fields they have to fill in before paying for the product. Is it possible for people to just get sent to Paypal to buy the product and then get redirected to a page to create their account information after payment?
Yes, simply select the "Accept Direct Payments" option in the PayPal config, create PayPal buttons to trigger the payments, and then set the PayPal button id on your product. I haven't used this for PayPal personally, but it works great for other payment plugins like ClickBank. Alternatively, just cut out the number of fields you collect at signup... you don't need anything more than name and email address (and possibly country if you need it for tax) as login/password can be auto-created and other info can be collected later in the profile.
