.htaccess file missing error

    I installed the amember files on my site and I get an error saying that an .htaccess file is missing when I try to go to the configure screen. Do I need to generate an .htaccess file? If so, what should the settings be?

    Archive with aMember already has this file. Please check that your FTP client upload hidden files (with dot in begin of name).
