    Hi all!

I have tried to set up email notification for each of my products before the membership period expire, but it does not want work.

I know well the system and I used already the global settings and it worked, but when I tried to do it for products, it was not succesful.

How could I resolve this problem?

    Thanks,
    Tamas

Looks like its set to 10 days after the expiration.
    try a -10 for 10 days before.

The note in admin says just the opposite of what you said, David.

I have been doing what admin said -- and just found out that my users are not getting expiration notices.

I just followed your directions and I hope to see that my expiration notices go out now.

It seems that there is a bug in description. David's instructions above are correct.

My expiration notices are still not going out. I added a product to my account yesterday and set it to expire tomorrow. I have several expiration templates added, including one the day before expiration. As far as I can tell, no expiration notice went out. I get all other emails and so do my users.

The products in question are following the default expiration notices setting. I have all the email templates set up and expiration notices enabled. Is there something else I am missing?

(I have external cron set up -- does this matter?)

The problem is in the way how you test this.
Expiration messages will be sent once a day from cron.
If create account that will expire tomorrow, and want to test expiration message that should be sent one day before expiration this will not work in most of the cases, because there is a big chance that cron job already was executed for that day.
Create user that will expire the day after tomorrow, in order to test one day expiration message.

Actually I thought of that, which is why I set up notifications for the next two days as well. I'm not getting any notifications, nor are my customers. I appreciate the help.

David -- Yes, they get all other emails. (So do I, for that matter.)

I should clarify. *Most* emails are working.

Just now I realized that I don't get CC rebill fail/success emails either (authorize.net). So something's up.

Product emails, email broadcasts, reminder emails (for Ken's plugin amReminder), new signup, user cancellation, etc. -- all those emails get sent.

Did you test with recurring products?
messages will be sent only if product is not recurring.

The products in question are one-time purchases, not recurring.

Please contact us in helpdesk. I will add debug info to mail expiration function and will try to troubleshoot this issue.

Sorry to re-open an old thread but is the expire notification per-product available in aMember v4?

Yes, go to amember admin / protect content / email, and create an expire email.
