    Hi there,

As mentioned in a previous thread, my client uses an offline database to process records, and I'd like to make sure the online and offline databases hold the same information.

Is there a way to have amember email admin everytime a member changes their details, AND include these details in the email?

The only solution I've been able to come up with is not to allow member changes within amember, and instead provide them with a form which is sent to admin. Problem is then the client will have to go into the database and make the edits themselves. Not the perfect solution but the only way I can see it working with my familiarity of amember.

It is easy to do - it is possible to write a plugin that will send email when profile changed.

Hmm, do you think we should make it regular feature? Could you explain why you need this?

For me, sometimes people change there email, then I would know to rebuild the DB so it would update there info in the forums and stuff

If you are using integration plugins, info should be updated automatically!

    Alex,

I would also have a need for this plugin (to be notified when a user makes changes to their profile).

My reasoning is that I keep an offline database too for the users -- and while I have all their information inside of aMember -- there's plenty more information that isn't included. Such as:

    1. Telephone calls -- and what was discussed during these calls.
    2. Anniversaries, birthdays, and holiday specials to specific members.
    3. Other Off-line mailings -- and purchases from those mailings for ROI, etc.

It's not feasible for me to export my user base and import it into ACCESS because of the additional information held in my off-line database.

It would be much easier for my staff to be notified when a member changes their profile information, and we can update off-line to keep each set of records complete and up-to-date.

I would love to see this plug in included in the next upgrade for aMember.

    Kind Regards,
    Rozey

    Alex,

Bless your heart! I am so glad to hear this is going to be added. I'm sure once everyone sees how "useful" it will be for them -- they will thank you too! :)

    Kind Regards,
    Rozey
