Do I have to use the aMember Widget when integrating with WP?

I'm sure it makes everything easier, but I really don't want to have the ability to login on every page, rather, have users directed to a specific page where they can login and/or register.

Is it possible to just set these links somewhere and bypass using the Widget (that creates a login form), or do I have to use the plugin?

You dont have to use it. You can use a link to the login form,etc...
