We use the payments report to gather information on which marketing effort brought in each sale. This is in conjunction with some custom development we did for creating tracking codes.

One of the primary uses for these tracking codes and the payments report is calculating royalties for copywriters. Like many others in our industry we pay copywriters a royalty on initial sales. We do not pay a royalty on renewals / rebills past the first year.

Is there any function or feature currently in aMember that will allow us to tell the difference in payments between new and renewal payment? At least without having to go through literally thousands of individual user records per month? Or is there a plug-in for this?

The current report payments from new versus current user does gives only aggregate data; we need data on each individual subscription.

I looked through the change logs for the upgrades since our version and saw no indication of this.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I guess you can use JV (Joint Venture) pluigin for your use case.

This plugin adds ability to assign affiliate (your copywriters) to a product. Affiliate will receive commission each time when product is purchased. You can set up different rate for initial payment and recurring. So you can set 0% for recurring payments to avoid pay commission for it.

Then you can make payout to your copywriters monthly or be-weekly.

    Best Regards.
