Create user with Subscription through the API

I'm trying to import my current users into Amber v4. It appears the Import in the Dashboard only creates users. So I'm trying to write a script against the api to create users with subscriptions. I do see this documentation and I know how to create a user but not with a subscription. http://www.amember.com/docs/REST

Can any one assist?
