EDIT: It's OK now. Actually it's been OK all along. :D
I'm leaving this here in case someone else makes the same mistake in the future.
    See below for the "solution".

I have a signup / purchase form divided in 6 pages.

The first page contains personal data: first name, last name, email address.
As soon as one clicks on "Next" on the first page, aMember (v5.1.1) sends the confirmation email.

So what? I hear you say...

Well, username and password are on page 4.
Needless to say, the confirmation email contains no user data.

Oh, and since I tried signing up that way I can no longer access the non-confirmed user list on CP. An error page appears, but the error log shows nothing.

Did anyone ever have the same or a similar problem? How did you solve it?

Thanks in advance to whoever will shed some light on this.

EDIT: It's that way by design. That was NOT the signup confirmation email, but the validation email. If you want all user data to be completed before the validation email is sent, just put the Email brick on last page (or, in my case, in the page just before the Product and Payment Method bricks).
As for the error page and the empty log, those remain a mistery.
