I've had aMember running on my website before but the host has done some upgrades (it looks, can't be sure) and I can no longer get it to install. I get to the page after inputting the MySQL database etc and it says: aMember Installation You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '(14) NOT NULL, url varchar(255) default NULL, remote_addr varchar(15) default NU' at line 13 SQL: ############################################################### # # # aMember MySQL DATABASE DUMP # # # # This file is to use with amember/setup.php only # # It cannot be loaded to MySQL as is. # # # ############################################################### CREATE TABLE amember_access_log( log_id int(11) NOT NULL auto_increment, member_id int(11) NOT NULL, time timestamp(14) NOT NULL, url varchar(255) default NULL, remote_addr varchar(15) default NULL, referrer varchar(255) default NULL, PRIMARY KEY (log_id), INDEX (member_id, time, remote_addr), INDEX (time) )
Looks like you must be trying to install an older version than the latest 4.2.6. The issue is that your host has upgraded MySQL and 'timestamp(14)' is no longer supported. In the latest version, this issue is fixed and the field is declared as 'datetime'. Grab the latest version, and you should be ok. Cheers Rob
