amember and godaddy??

    I am getting an error with amember that I just purchased yesterday. I have used amember before and love it. I know its not the script. Does anyone have any advice or information about this type of error?

    • Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket. Try to use 127.0.0.1 for MySQL Host setting. If this will not help contact hosting support and ask to provide correct MySQL Host
    • MySQL Error: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) at /home/content/15/10924415/html/amember/library/Am/Setup.php line 114(2002) in query: new PDO

    You need to contact GoDaddy and check if PHP has PDO module installed

    I also had a GoDaddy hosting but didn't see such problem.

    You can yourself directly check the php modules status enabled or not using phpinfo function.
    If they are not enabled you can directly enable them through control panel too.

    • login to cPanel
    • Click "Select PHP Version"
    • Check modules here and click "Save"
