    My affiliate program is checked to "Allow redirecting to external URLs".

    But this produces a LONG LONG string of letters and numbers.

    So when my affiliates link to my site with their custom URL, it is a clearly an affiliate link.

    This is awful when linking from YouTube's description box especially.

    Besides the extra step of using a service like bit.ly, is there any way to shorten this URL?

    It is his username. In event of you want to send it in email you can use %user.login%

    Is there any way to use %user.login% in the affiliate section, not email?

    In event of you mean aMember template then you can use:
    PHP:
    <?php echo $di->user->login ?>

    Okay. Great. Thanks for that...

    One last question:

    How do I let my affiliates know that I have a php affiliate page with links on it?

    In other words, where do I display the text that says something like:

    Click here to get all my banner and text links.
