Affiliate signs up -> receives annoying email

    Affiliate signs up using the affiliate sign up form.

    Amember (latest version) is set to manually approve Affiliates.

    Affiliate receives this email:

    Dear XXXXX,

    Thank you for subscribing!

    We review all payments manually, so your payment status is pending. You will receive email when your
    account will be approved. Thank you for your patience.
    --
    Best Regards,
    Company Name

    Is there any way to edit this bizarre email?

    i think you mis read the email,

    that email is to do with PAYOUTS and nothing to do with approving affilates

    and there is loads of email templates in the area on amember

    No sir, you are mistaken.
    When an affiliate signs up, that is the exact email they get. It has nothing to do with payouts as you say.

    Hi jmartin55, Did you get an answer for this. You are right, I've only just noticed that this is what affiliates get when they sign up before approval.

    Obviously it is a generalised email that is also used in the case when you choose to approve before payments as well. In my case, which is probably common to most of us, I don't need to approve before payment. This email will only be sent to affiliates - that's the only signup I need to approve.

    But I just cannot track down this email so I can amend 'We review all payments manually, so your payment
    status is pending' to 'We review all affiliate requests manually, so your
    status is pending ...' etc.

    I'm usually pretty good at tracking down email templates but this one is well hidden!

    Yes, I agree with you that this email should have separate template. We will add this feature to next release.

    Meanwhile you can edit this template at
    aMember CP -> Configuration -> Setup/Configuration -> Advanced (Manually Approve)
    enable option 'Manually Approve New Users' and edit template then disable it if you do not need.

    I absolutely agree with you that it is crazy and we will change it in next release.

    Thank you Caesar, I eventually found it. But while attempting to change the template I've had a curious event and I'll raise a ticket in the help desk.

    I look forward to the change for this in the next release. Thank you.
