How do I limit ammount of downloads?

Hey guys, I have the one time downloads plugin.

But I want to limit so that I can only sell 1 product say to 20 different customers,

How can I do this?

Marc I think that the plugin controls how many time one user can download a file and off course this is something hard to control because many users click the download link then cancel then click again then cancel again but the control you are needing is over the sell not over download, one idea maybe could be create a coupon with 20 available uses (Coupon Usage Count) and offer the coupon to your leads, when sells turn around 20 times the coupon will be unusable.

Maybe you can tell us more about what's on your mind just to think on more solutions.

I would have thought this would be very easy.

I dont care how many times they download the actual file.

But I only want to *SELL* the item 20 times. So after the 20'th customer purchases, it should no longer be available.

How long has amember been around? I would have thought it would be a bit more active around here.

This really should be a simple question.

Surely admin have some way to do this?

I dont know if this is possible with Amember (it is after all software to restrict access and selling of subscriptions, not a shopping cart ) but the shopping cart XXXXXXXXX lets you sell downloads and you can specify how many you have in stock.

When stock reaches 0 then it becomes unavailable.

And does amember work with that shopping cart?

well the shopping cart will protect that content (the downloadable file) so then amember doesnt need to protect it - it can protect actual content.
