    Hi everyone,
I have set up my IPB message board with amember, i have chosen default group as Register and after succesfully payment i have chosen Premium group. Everything is okay from this point.
My question is if im going to stop the forum registration and redirect the page to amember login/register how my forum members will be able to log in amember interface? (My board have 150k register members). Any tutorial who cover this?
    Thank you

I you have existing Invision users that you need to incorporate into a new instance of aMember then you need to export the usernames, passwords and salts (and possibly emails) from the inVision members table and then import these into aMember as part of the user import process. The aMember import script has options both to import inVision fields and to allocate an active package in order to keep them in your Premium group.

Thank you very much for explanation edward, i was expected the import part.
Could you please tell me if new import users into amember will be able to use SAME password as they have it to the forum ? It will be a disaster for me to force 150.000 users to change their password.

Yes you can import encrypted password.
In step 2 of import check "Import Encrypted Password" and then select Invision from dropdown list.

Yes you should do this from phpMyAdmin.
All this information are stored in the same table: "members".
Make sure that you export both members_pass_hash and members_pass_salt fileds.
Both fields are required to crypt password.

Ok thanks for info alexander. I have exported the members table with those fields name, email, members_pass_hash, members_pass_salt from IPB but im not able to import the csv file into aMember. Im not getting any error message , i have selected the file, the page is loading then nothing happens. I did rebuilt the db and Invoice database after import :(

What is file size ? Do you see any errors in aMember error log or in server error log?

    Hi,
Can you contact us in helpdesk, provide access to amember and attach file.
I will try to import this myself and check what could be wrong.
