After the payment in which page will go the customers? How will send my customer on my thankyou page?
There are 2 ways to handling payments: 1 - classic for aMember visitor opens aMember signup page, chooses a product, etc. visitor signs up visitor automatically redirected to paypal after payment user will be always redirected to amember/thanks page, one he logs-in he will see membership content you configured for him to see (folders, links, files, videos) 2 - paypal in front of amember (new in aMember v4) you make some specific configuration to PayPal button and in aMember you put paypal payment button on your pages visitor clicks on button visitor gets redirected to paypal after payment, amember will receive post from paypal, and will auto-create user account for payer, amember will also email customer welcome e-mail with login details user will be redirected to a page you configured in paypal button
1. Enable and configure paypal plugin as usual. 2. Enable Accept Direct Payments in paypal plugin configuration. 3. In your paypal Profile setup IPN URL to url which you see in plugin configuration. 4. Create paypal button and specify item_number for this button(it should be some unique numeric value),. 5. Create product in aMember which have the same payment terms as button which you created on step 4. 6. Set Paypal Item number for that product to the same value as you have set for paypal button created at step 4. Try to pay using your button, aMember should create new account and add payment automatically.
It works, but: which is the new user's password? The new user was created and amember sent an email to him with the username but without the password... so the new user knows his username but doesn't know his password! He can't log in.. Thanks
Alex seems to indicate that auto login is not possible. Two years later I am still wondering if this has been implemented or if I need to submit a feature request. My problem is that so many people still use Yahoo, AOL and other highly filtered email services. My mail server passes all mxtoolbox tests, yet many email still get filtered and customer are too impatient to check their spam folders...many don't even know what a spam folder is.
No this feature is not available, and and it won't be available. The problem is simple. When you specify thanks url in your paypal button and user is being redirected after payment, there is no way to be sure that redirect is genuine. You can't verify that user is the same person who made payment. So you can't login that user.
