OK - gas is up, food prices are up, now aMember annual update download support goes from $40 annually to $80? That's crazy! It's half the price of the script! I guess I now buy support every other year or less... A nominal increase would be OK, but doubling your price won't double your income - I guarantee!
There is no price increase! It was $40/6 months, now it is $80/year. I believe that is not too much (in fact it is too cheap) considering: - you have to pay only once no matter how many licenses do you have; - it also gives you updates to all your plugins no matter how many; - you do not have to pay it each year. When you are ready to upgrade, you just pay $80, upgrade and have year of updates from the date. Other companies often require you to pay for all time since your first purchase.
